Opening hours – how to setup opening hours | exceptions to regular opening hours | overlaps

In order to set up the opening hours go to Setup -> Services & opening hours -> Opening Hours -> Add hours, like this:

Set the days of the week and the time intervals in which your restaurant is open, and then click Save:

If there are services available during other time intervals than the general opening hours, you can set different hours for those services, like this:

Please note that the order taking app must be connected at all times during the sum of all opening hours that you set up in this section.

Set exceptions to regular opening hours (vacation mode / holiday / pause services)

You can set exceptions to regular opening hours by accessing Admin -> Services and opening hours -> Opening hours -> Exceptions.

How it works

1. Add special days – for example, vacations, national holidays, or other temporary alterations of your service hours

  • Go to Admin->Services and opening hours -> Opening hours -> Exceptions->Add special day
  • Type in the name of the holiday -> Choose the day of the holiday -> Select the services that will be affected by the holiday (delivery, pickup, etc) or All services
  • Write a message for the food clients that will be visible when they open the menu (optional)

See below an example for a restaurant closed for Christmas (25th December):

2. Pause services – for example when: you need to stop ordering because you’re overwhelmed, you need to close early, drivers call in sick etc. “Pause services” can be used only for the current day.

  • Go to Admin->Services and opening hours -> Opening hours -> Exceptions->Pause services
  • Select Specific services -> Select the respective service(s) to be stopped (e.g: delivery / pickup /delivery + pickup etc) -> Set time interval for pause (either “x hours y minutes” or the “rest of the day”)
  • Add a message for the food client, explaining the pause in the respective services (optional)

The exceptions you set here are also visible in the Sales Optimized Website.

Exceptions to regular opening hours – overlaps

If you already have an exception defined for a particular day, you cannot add another exception for the same day.

Note: An exception is defined as either “special day” or “pause services”.

Example: today is 20th November and you already have an exception set – Special Day. You can no longer pause services today. Also, if you try to add a special day/interval that includes the 20th, it will result in an error. What you need to do is just go and edit the exception that is already defined.

This is required so that the restaurant does not set conflicting rules.

If you try to overlap Special Days, time interval with a holiday or pause services during such a time interval, the following message appears:
